Peace of mind on an interference engine
Cross-referenced the OE number against my 2016 TT 8S before ordering. I booked it in with a specialist rather than risk an interference engine on the driveway. The date stamp was recent, which matters for rubber that has been sitting on a shelf. Result is the engine is noticeably quieter at idle than it has been for a year.

Good kit, check the contents
Replacement for my 2008 A5 8T 2.0 TDI. Torqued the tensioner to spec and rotated it twice by hand before starting. One of the tensioner bolts was missing from the kit and held the job up a day. That said, timing has held perfectly through 12,000 miles since fitting. Good part, minor niggles.

Rattle on start-up gone

Quiet engine again
Replacement for my 2006 A4 B7 2.0 TDI. Everything in the box matched the parts diagram with nothing missing. I did the water pump and rollers at the same time since the front was already off. Result is the top-end rattle on cold start has completely gone.

Everything lined up
Went on my S3 8V 3.0 TFSI V6 at 152k miles. The chain has proper hardened links rather than the soft pins on cheap copies. Torqued the tensioner to spec and rotated it twice by hand before starting. Result is no more chain slap on start-up, which was what prompted the job.
