One weeped, the other is fine
Replacement for my 2010 A5 8T 3.0 TDI V6. I fitted both sides together as you should, then had it aligned the same week. One unit was visibly weeping oil down the body within a few weeks. That said, the car no longer floats over crests and settles in one movement. Would still buy it again.

Night and day difference
Bought for a 2024 Q8 4M. The paint and plating look like they will survive a few winters of salt. I torqued everything at ride height rather than with the suspension hanging. Result is sharp expansion joints no longer send a bang through the cabin. Exactly what I needed.

Car feels new again
Cross-referenced the OE number against my 2014 TT 8J before ordering. Damping is progressive when you compress it by hand, not dead at the top of the stroke. I torqued everything at ride height rather than with the suspension hanging. Result is sharp expansion joints no longer send a bang through the cabin. No complaints at all.

Good damping, ride height is off
Second one of these I have bought, this time for the A8 D4. Top mounts and bearings went on at the same time while it was apart. The car sat about 15mm lower on one side, which suggests a spring rate problem. That said, it tracks straight on the motorway instead of wandering. Would still buy it again.

Crashing over potholes has stopped
Replacement for my 2015 A1 8X 1.8 TFSI. I torqued everything at ride height rather than with the suspension hanging. The rod is properly finished with no machining marks and the seal is clean. Result is the car no longer floats over crests and settles in one movement. Happy to recommend it.
