Ride is composed again

Bought for a 2012 A5 8T. Spring compressors out and the strut rebuilt on the bench in an afternoon. The paint and plating look like they will survive a few winters of salt. Result is the clonk over speed bumps that started this job has completely gone.

Night and day difference

Second one of these I have bought, this time for the A4 B8. The rod is properly finished with no machining marks and the seal is clean. I fitted both sides together as you should, then had it aligned the same week. Result is it tracks straight on the motorway instead of wandering. Happy to recommend it.

One weeped, the other is fine (Q7 4L)

Bought for a 2014 Q7 4L. The garage did the pair and the alignment came back within spec straight away. One unit was visibly weeping oil down the body within a few weeks. That said, it tracks straight on the motorway instead of wandering. Would still buy it again.

Leaked within a month

My S4 B8 needed this doing at 70k miles. One unit was visibly weeping oil down the body within a few weeks. Would not order the same one again.

One weeped, the other is fine (A4 B8)

Went on my A4 B8 2.5 TFSI at 135k miles. I fitted both sides together as you should, then had it aligned the same week. One unit was visibly weeping oil down the body within a few weeks. That said, sharp expansion joints no longer send a bang through the cabin. Good part, minor niggles.

One weeped, the other is fine

Went on my Q3 8U 1.8 TFSI at 124k miles. Top mounts and bearings went on at the same time while it was apart. One unit was visibly weeping oil down the body within a few weeks. That said, the car no longer floats over crests and settles in one movement. Worth buying, just go in with your eyes open.

Well damped, not harsh

Ordered this for my A8 D4 after the original gave up at 56k. I torqued everything at ride height rather than with the suspension hanging. The paint and plating look like they will survive a few winters of salt. Result is the clonk over speed bumps that started this job has completely gone. Good value against the dealer price.

Car feels new again

My A3 8V needed this doing at 127k miles. I fitted both sides together as you should, then had it aligned the same week. The rod is properly finished with no machining marks and the seal is clean. Result is the clonk over speed bumps that started this job has completely gone.
