Correct damping rate
Bought for a 2013 A7 4G. Damping is progressive when you compress it by hand, not dead at the top of the stroke. I torqued everything at ride height rather than with the suspension hanging. Result is sharp expansion joints no longer send a bang through the cabin. No complaints at all.

Well damped, not harsh
Went on my S3 8V 2.0 TDI at 48k miles. The paint and plating look like they will survive a few winters of salt. I fitted both sides together as you should, then had it aligned the same week. Result is sharp expansion joints no longer send a bang through the cabin. Will be back for the other side.

Crashing over potholes has stopped
Second one of these I have bought, this time for the S3 8V. The paint and plating look like they will survive a few winters of salt. I torqued everything at ride height rather than with the suspension hanging. Result is the clonk over speed bumps that started this job has completely gone. Good value against the dealer price.

Car feels new again

Night and day difference
Ordered this for my A6 C8 after the original gave up at 45k. Damping is progressive when you compress it by hand, not dead at the top of the stroke. I torqued everything at ride height rather than with the suspension hanging. Result is it tracks straight on the motorway instead of wandering. Will be back for the other side.

Good damping, ride height is off
My A7 4G needed this doing at 98k miles. I torqued everything at ride height rather than with the suspension hanging. The car sat about 15mm lower on one side, which suggests a spring rate problem. That said, sharp expansion joints no longer send a bang through the cabin. Good part, minor niggles.
